Assistant Coffee Shop Manager - Coffee Shops

As an Assistant Coffee Shop Manager you are responsible for supporting the manager in the running of the business, ensuring that all cafe customers are satisfied, that employees are working effectively as a team, and that the business is profitable.

A large focus of this role will be around the espresso machine - the heart of the cafe, where the customers can see theatre of making great coffee. The team is often fairly small, giving you a "hands on" role, working all shifts through the rota system. You will support promotion and marketing campaigns at local level, as well as getting fully involved in company-wide schemes. Inevitably, you will also have to undertake administrative tasks including financial reports, budgets, cost analysis, and correspondence with suppliers, customers and head office.

Your customers come from a range of backgrounds, and all require a slightly different style of customer service. Your role will be key to gaining maximum customer satisfaction, monitoring their feedback and encouraging your team to be customer focused at all times. You will ensure that the necessary procedures are undertaken to ensure the health and safety of everyone on the premises, along with food safety, upholding the licensing laws, consumer protection and employment legislation.
