Overview

This qualification is a basic introduction to health and safety at work and in the workplace. The Introductory course is suitable for new staff before they progress to higher level courses. It could be used as a induction programme.
Please note that a Health and Safety Certificate at this level is required as a mandatory part of the Modern Apprenticeship in Hospitality at SVQ level 2. This is an equivalent to Level 1 Health and Safety Awards in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is offered in Scotland by ReHis.
