About this role
You are required to meet and greet our customers in a polite and friendly way, making them feel welcome and relaxed. You will provide fantastic customer service, delivering a quality food and drinks offer from our Bar Café Menu.
Key Responsibilities
- Keeping customers happy will be the most important thing to you;
- Be friendly and helpful at all times;
- Welcome our customers to the bar café. Prepare and serve food, in line with Company standards and procedures;
- Listen to our customers and happily help them with any queries they might have and if you can't help, you'll find someone who can;
- Work together with your colleagues to make sure that our customers enjoy their bar café experience as well as their stay within your hotel;
- Learn about what's happening in your hotel and the local area and share this with the rest of your team;
- Look for and make the most of sales opportunities;
- Complete day-to-day paperwork and procedures on time and accurately;
- Keep yourself, the team and our customer's safe - and be aware of any potential problems;
- Keep your line manager up-to-date with maintenance, service or equipment issues and follow these up;
- Keep it clean - maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the Bar Café and kitchen areas following the hotels cleaning schedule;
- Follow our procedures, when dealing with cash handling, bar licensing, accounts, security and stock;
- Look after yourself and others - make sure you follow instructions for health and fire, cleaning products, manual handling and food hygiene;
- Treat your colleagues in a fair and friendly way;
- Be prepared to muck in and help with any other duties that might be needed.
